John Meyer
John Meyer owns and operates a REMS company based out of the northwest. Outside of REMS, John is a Rescue 3 Rope Rescue Instructor and Wilderness Medicine Instructor and brings experience in the Army, the Airforce, as a river guide, Ski Patroller, and structural firefighter.

Philip Barquer, LP, FP-C
Philip is a Special Operations Rescue Paramedic and a Captain on the Wildland Fire Support Module for ATCEMS. He has been in public safety since 2004, with medic experiences ranging from the beaches of Southern California, to the wild west of Albuquerque and the sandbox of the Middle East before finally settling down in Texas. During this time, Philip has been a front-line provider, austere medic, and clinical educator to both civilians and DoD personnel. Philip holds a bachelor’s degree in public safety and emergency management from Grand Canyon University and maintains dual certification as a tactical paramedic and flight paramedic from the International Board of Specialty Certifications

Joel Simonson, MEDL/Paramedic RMA CIMT3
I have been a MEDL on Rocky Mountain Area CIMT 3 for four years, a line medic since 2012 and in EMS since 1999. I currently serve as a Paramedic in Eagle County, Colorado.

Nick Arnett, USFS/Spring Valley Fire
Nick Arnett is a MEDL on federal Southern Area and California Inter-Agency Incident Management Teams. For the US Forest Service and Spring Valley Fire Department, he is also a public information officer, critical incident stress responder, fire chaplain, rope rescue and large animal rescue technician, community wildfire mitigation specialist, and former paramedic with experience in domestic and international emergency response. As an instructor for South Bay Regional Public Safety Academy and CERT programs in the South Bay area of Northern California, NVFC and others, he teaches EMS, wildfire mitigation, crisis intervention, resilience, and community emergency preparedness. He previously was a software industry product executive and company founder with seven patents for intelligence-gathering software and was an award-winning reporter for radio, television and print.Arnett is the author of four books (available on Amazon) including the most widely used crisis response handbook for public safety and "Stress Into Strength:Resilience Routines for Warriors, Wimps, and Everyone in Between,"released by HarperCollins Leadership in July 2021.

Cameron Kautzman Owner Goat Creek Training Company
Cameron Kautzman has dedicated over two decades to public service and emergency response. His career began in wildland firefighting where he served with the Montana DNRC in the Swan River and Clearwater State Forests from 2000 to 2005, spending two of those years as an Engine Boss. His role as a contract Engine Boss brought him to the Four Corners area where he joined the City of Farmington Fire Department in Farmington, New Mexico in 2007. Cameron is currently a captain with FFD and has served on the department’s Wildland and Tech Rescue Teams and worked as an instructor for the Farmington Fire Department’s Cadet Academy. Cameron lives with his family in southwest Colorado where he also works as a professional ski patroller at Purgatory Ski Resort. When he’s not working, Cameron enjoys skiing, hockey, fishing, hunting, and spending his Julys in northwest Montana. Cameron founded Goat Creek Training Company in 2024.

I started my counseling career with one goal in mind: to help people find balance and manage their mental health. My background in psychology and counseling combined with my experience as a wildland firefighter has prepared me to work with firefighters around any mental health concerns.

Timothy Durkin
Dr Durkin joined the Orthopedic Associates team in Spring 2023 after practicing in Albuquerque, Shiprock and Durango. He is board certified in both emergency and sports medicine.
